Psalm 59

Good morning, sweet sisters,

Holding you close to my heart and thanking God for this privileged place to pray for you.

I was digging in Psalm 59 today….

As you wrestle with flesh and blood: in your congregation, your health issues, your children, your spouse, your neighbor, your employer, your every day circumstances….may you be reminded that scripture makes it clear that our battle is not with flesh and blood but with the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Eph 6:12)

Enemy: GOD: Me:
Rises up against you To the enemy: Watch for God
Lies in wait Punishes Sing of God’s strength
Conspires Shows no mercy Sing of God’s love
Ready to attack Laughs Sing praises to God
Returns Scoffs
Snarls like a dog Makes them wonder about
Prowls Brings them down
Spews words Consumes them
Spews words like swords God Makes known to the ends
Gets caught in pride  of the earth that God rules over his people
Slanders you To Me:
Curses Delivers me
Lies Protects me
Wanders about Saves me
Howls when not satisfied Helps me
Returns again and again Looks on my plight
My strength
Goes bf me
My fortress
My loving God
My shield
My refuge
My God

Psalm 58:4,5 “Their venom is like the venom of a snake, like that of a cobra that has stopped its ears, that will not heed the tune of the charmer, however skillful the enchanter may be.”

Father, May it not be so in my heart. Remove any venom, pride, self righteousness on my part.

Unstop my ears…..may I hear and heed to your music. May I dance a worship dance of obedience before you, for your pleasure.

In the battle you find yourself, may you watch for your God and sing to Him.
